Creative Reset: A time to fully refocus and recommit to creating content in a new brilliant way.

I am truly a content creator in every way because I view every moment as an opportunity to make something magical. My day from start to finish is a story that I know my followers would love to see and be a part of. I am a black woman photographer taking up space in the world and only making work that features women that look like me. Every photo I take transports me, my subject and the viewer into a space that I have made to tell the perfect story.

Constantly making work and serving others makes the creative resets vital to my process. One of the most important steps in planning a creative reset is finding the perfect location. The location must give not only the perfect amount of peace but be aesthetically on brand. When I walk into the space I want to be inspired to make something that only includes me as the subject and the eager viewer. Another step for the creative reset is taking advantage of the space and the surrounding area. I want to fully paint the picture for my change of scenery and enjoy the little things. This can include using a coffee maker in the space, a restaurant/cafe, or even a local small business. 

I document this whole creative reset with videos and photographs, pretty much anyway I know can tell the story. Creative resets are really just a time for me to make content with no restrictions or guidelines. Every artist needs these moments because it gives you the opportunity to sit back and enjoy their time.
