You Deserve

A special love letter for the start of a new month – Can we get personal for a second?! I am writing this love letter from a hospital lobby in Philadelphia. Today my little brother is ringing the bell because he is getting his last chemo treatment today! Most people don't know that my brother was diagnosed with cancer at the start of the pandemic in 2020. This has been a crazy ride for my family, especially my mother! There were so many days I would just sit and cry because I couldn't imagine experiencing that level of pain. Watching my little brother go through this big life altering thing was crazy! We are blessed to be arriving at this special day as a family! 

I am starting this new month with the mindset that beautiful things come after the storm. Life is going to kick your ass at some point but you have to fight back! You have to get up every single time because there is something waiting for you on the other side. My therapist is constantly challenging me to rethink “why is this happening to me” and be grateful that God has shown me my power to endure hard things. 

Let August be the month that you fall in love with the lessons no matter how hard they are.

 July wasn't the most beautiful month for me but I am grateful that it taught me a few lessons! 

I pray that August shows you how gifted you are! I pray that August shows you the power to endure! I pray that August gives you endless opportunities! I pray that August is everything you want and need it to be. You are deserving of all the things!
